Raised on a farm, Julissa developed a love for animals at an early age and knew she wanted to turn that passion into a lifelong career. For her, caring for animals has never been just a job, but a true calling.
As our longest-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician, Julissa plays an essential role in maintaining the high standard of care our patients deserve. Known for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, she treats every patient with patience, kindness, and the utmost care. Beyond her daily responsibilities, she also shares her knowledge and experience by mentoring and training incoming veterinary technician interns as they prepare for their licensing examinations, helping guide the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Outside of work, Julissa treasures spending quality time with her family, and her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, remains an important part of her life. She is thankful for the Sahara Animal Hospital family and the opportunity to continue doing what she loves every day.
