Alejandra joined the Sahara Animal Hospital family in 2023 as a veterinary assistant, bringing with her an educational background in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry from CUCBA in Mexico. Her education provided a strong foundation in animal health and care, and her experience working with both small and large animals helped shape her passion for veterinary medicine.

After moving to Las Vegas, Alejandra continued pursuing her passion for animal care by joining our team. Since then, she has worked her way from veterinary assistant to Veterinary Technician Intern in Training (VTIT), ultimately passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and earning her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential.

Throughout her journey at Sahara, Alejandra has continued to expand her knowledge through hands-on experience, mentorship, and training alongside Dr. Arteaga and our experienced veterinary team. This combination of formal education and practical learning has allowed her to develop valuable clinical skills and a deeper understanding of the compassion, precision, and dedication required to provide exceptional patient care.

We are proud to have been part of Alejandra’s professional journey and celebrate her accomplishments as she continues to grow in her career. Her perseverance, commitment to learning, and dedication to our patients reflect the values we hold close at Sahara Animal Hospital. As an LVT, Alejandra is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care while building trusting relationships with the pets and families who depend on us.
